Service review
Doola — review
Doola's pitch: US LLC formation built specifically for non-US residents. They're the only mainstream service that handles the EIN-without-SSN process at scale, plus the bookkeeping and tax-filing flow that foreign founders actually need.
Pricing
- Starter — $297/yr. LLC formation, registered agent, EIN (without SSN), US business address, banking referrals.
- Total Compliance — $1,999/yr. Adds bookkeeping software, tax return filing, BOI compliance, sales-tax setup.
What sets them apart
- EIN without SSN — they file Form SS-4 by fax/mail and follow up with the IRS
- Mercury and Relay banking referrals — both banks routinely open accounts for non-US-resident-owned LLCs
- Wyoming and Delaware specialization — most foreign founders pick one of these
- BOI / FinCEN compliance support
Best for
Non-US residents forming a US LLC for online business, US dropshipping, US-payment-processor access (Stripe), or US-tax-treaty optimization.
Caveats
- $297/yr is mid-tier expensive — much higher than ZenBusiness Starter, but the foreign-founder support is worth the premium
- US residents should not use Doola — ZenBusiness or Northwest are better/cheaper
